With a populace of 55,000, Halmstad ıs the largest seaside admittance on the west shore. The Norre Harbour city gateway, all that remains of the town's natural fortifications, dates from 1605. The current municipality corridor has depths decorations by the so-called Halmstad Assemblage of painters, which formed here ın 1929.
